• 10 Jan, 2009 - Martydom of Karbala Conference held under the aegis of Minhaj ul Quran International UK (Nelson)

• 12 Jan, 2009 - Shaykh ul Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir ul Qadri donated Rs. 5 million on behalf of Minhaj ul Quran International for the needy people of Palestine

• 14 Jan, 2009 - Inauguration of the website of The Minhaj University Lahore

• 17 Jan, 2009 - The meeting of Minhaj European Council took place in Minhaj Islamic Center Barcelona in which Shaykh ul Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir ul Qadri declared Minhaj European Council to be the backbone of Minhaj ul Quran International in its administrative work.

• 18 Jan, 2009 - The meeting of the members of the Federal Council (Majlis-e-Shura) took place in Minhaj ul Quran International Spain under the supervision of European Leaders
